Chester Road Resurfacing Success!

Written By Oliver Johnstone

Hazel Grove Conservative Councillors, Oliver Johnstone & Julian Lewis-Booth are delighted to announce that money has been secured from Stockport Council's Highway Investment Programme to resurface Chester Road from the junction with the A6 to the junction with Grundey Street.

The news comes after extensive discussion with local residents and with Council Officers to secure the funding and priority.

Commenting on the news, Cllr Oliver Johnstone said, "Julian and I have been lobbying for this section of Chester Road to be resurfaced for some time and it is good to see the Council have agreed to fund it. Local residents have raised the poor state of the road to my colleagues and I on numerous occasions."

The works will be in operation from Sunday 25th June 2017 until Sunday 2nd July 2017 between 9am and 5pm. There will be a temporary road closure in place during these times. Residents and businesses within the affected area will be written to in advance.

If you have any roads or pavements to report to Oliver and Julian, please get in touch.
