Cllr John Hills

John has been a local councillor for 18 years.  A former member of the Armed Forces, John spends his days out in the ward helping residents.  He chairs the Community Association of New Eltham (CANE) and serves as a governor of two local primary schools.

John says: "People who know me will know that this area means everything to me.  These elections aren't about party politics.  I hope you will give me and the team your support."

Cllr Matt Hartley

Matt has been a local councillors since 2014 and also serves as Leader of the Opposition at the Town Hall.  He has been an Eltham school governor for the last seven years and volunteers to help run our local Credit Union.

Matt says: "Over the last four years it has been my privilege to serve as a local councillor for Coldharbour & New Eltham ward residents, and to work with John and our wonderful community groups to get things done locally."

Cllr Mandy Brinkhurst

Mandy has been a local councillor since 2006 and currently works for a local charity in the community.  She was  born and lived on the Coldharbour Estate unitl she was married, attending Greenacres Primary School; and then for a number of years lived on Sidcup Road at the Fiveways.

Mandy serves on the committee and Friends of Fairy Hill Park.  She has always been active in the community, volunteering for many years running a cub pack and as an advocate for older people.

After twelve years on the council, Mandy has decided to step down at the local elections in May.  Roger Tester (below) joined the team in her place last year.

Roger Tester

Roger was selected to stand as a Conservative candidate in the ward in the 2018 elections at the end of July 2017, after Councillor Mandy Brinkhurst announced she would not be seeking re-election after what will be 12 years on the council.  

Roger is a local small business owner, and also serves as Chairman of the local Conservative Party in the borough. He is a keen triathete and ran the 2016 London Marathon.

Like John and Matt, he is a member of our Safer Neighbourhood Ward Panel, and is leading our efforts to set up more Neighbourhood Watch groups.

Roger says: "Since I joined the team it has been a pleasure to meet so many local residetns and get stuck into our work in the ward.  If you elect me on 3rd May, I will not let you down."
