About Us

Cllr John Hills

John was first elected as a local councillor in 2000.  His background is in the building industry as a project manager - experience he puts to good use in planning matters and on the council's Building and Engineering Joint Works committee. 

Since his retirement, John spends his days around the ward dealing with day to day issues for residents.  He is currently Chair of the Community Association of New Eltham (CANE) and a school governor at Greenacres, Cherry Orchard and Alderwood Primary schools.

On the council he works hard to achieve positive outcomes for older people within the ward through his work on the Healthier Communities and Older Peoples Scrutiny Panel.

John is Chairman of Coldharbour, Mottingham and New Eltham Conservatives and the President of the Greenwich Conservative Federation.

Cllr Mandy Brinkhurst

Mandy has been a local councillor since 2006 and currently works for a local charity in the community.  She was  born and lived on the Coldharbour Estate unitl she was married, attending Greenacres Primary School; and then for a number of years lived on Sidcup Road at the Fiveways.

Mandy is a school governor at Henwick Primary School and serves on the committees of the Community Association of New Eltham (CANE) and Friends of Fairy Hill Park.  She has always been active in the community, volunteering for many years running a cub pack and as an advocate for older people.

Clllr Matt Hartley

Matt was elected in 2014 and has been campaigning in the local area for years, including playing a leading role in our Mend The Mound campaign to regenerate the Coldharbour shops.  He is a school governor at Ealdham Primary School, a committee member for the Friends of Fairy Hill Park and also volunteers for Greenwich & Bexley Credit Union.

In addition to representing Coldharbour, Mottingham and New Eltham as a ward councillor, Matt serves as Leader of the Opposition on the council.

Roger Tester

Roger was selected to stand as a Conservative candidate in the ward in the 2018 elections at the end of July 2017, after Councillor Mandy Brinkhurst announced she would not be seeking re-election after what will be 12 years on the council.  

Roger is a local small business owner, and also serves as Chairman of the local Conservative Party in the borough.  He is a keen triathete and ran the 2016 London Marathon.
